It was early in the morning, and everyone was asleep except for little Mays. He had gotten up and gone into the kitchen, and that's when he saw the smoke. The house didn't have any smoke alarms. Mays' father couldn't afford them; he'd not worked since his accident. Mays was only eight, but he'd been taught at home and in school to report to adults when anything was wrong. "Daddy! Mommy! The kitchen is on fire! It's burning!"

Joseph was different from other children. He was born with a crippling handicap. As a child, he needed special attention and had to be watched around the clock. He had special parents, and they loved him unconditionally. I came into Joseph’s life when he was five years old. I, myself, was born with a birth defect, and we bonded instantly. The doctors said I wouldn’t live to be a teenager but what hey didn’t know was I had a desire to live. Joseph would cry a lot; he was in so much pain, mostly from the medicines and treatments.

Trick or Treat: 50 Spooktacular Halloween Poems for Kids by [Coco, Bella]

We gave this one 5 stars

The readers are Skylyn 5 and Ethan 8.

The kids both loved the pictures included in each poem. We had smiles, giggle, and laughs reading this together. They were very easy to read and fun.

I would say really any aged kid would love these poems. Something fun to get you in the spirit of Halloween.
